The Historic Sandusky House is is located just off of Fort Avenue and less than 2 miles from the University of Lynchburg campus. During the Civil War, the house served as Union Headquarters during the Battle of Lynchburg and home to the Hutter family. Historic Sandusky is proudly owned and operated by the University of Lynchburg. Sandusky provides opportunities for students, faculty and staff as well as the people of Lynchburg to experience the history of the Civil War in Lynchburg.
