Julia Timmons, Disability Services Coordinator at Lynchburg College, has written the following statement and distributed it: Test proctoring services are offered only to students who have been approved for accommodations through the Disability Services Office. Proctoring is offered on a limited basis through our office; faculty are considered the primary resource for proctoring of students assessments (tests, quizzes and exams) as we do not have a Testing Center at Lynchburg College. Students register for test proctoring through My LC and a three business day advanced notification is required. Tests are returned to faculty via scanned copy on email. We do not offer test proctoring services for students not on the Disability Services caseload in our office, and in the summer offer only very limited test proctoring for those students. Students taking online LC courses, living locally, for which proctoring is required for testing don’t have a current resource on campus for this service.
The nearest institution which offers a Testing Center and staffed test proctoring is Central Virginia Community College. Find the link below to their policies and hours. Lynchburg College students fit into #3 type of proctoring: Proctored tests from other colleges and universities.
